Sylvigraphy (new)

The more I take the time to study them, the more I love trees and woods: their delicate scribbles against the sky, their massed trunks waiting patiently for me to leave, the fascinating ecology of the woodland floor. (I coined the name of this portfolio in the best tradition of mixed classic neologisms: Silvanus was the Roman god of woods, forests and fields; and graphos is the Greek for writing; so writing with trees! Photography is writing with light, of course.)
