How to buy Lois Wakeman's photos
I currently sell framed prints of my images through the Blue Lias Gallery in Lyme Regis (singles and selected pairs of colour images), otterton mill near Budleigh Salterton (mostly single mounted and/or framed images), and the Long Barn Natural Living shop in Alresford, Hampshire (mounted and/or framed prints of the lavender farm).
You can buy seasonal images as greetings cards online here - handmade cards signed by the photographer, ready to frame in a standard photoframe.

I hope to be able to offer a full online service when time permits; meanwhile, if you are seriously interested in buying a print, please email me and I will do my best to accommodate your wishes. Make sure you have a sensible title for your message; I get hundreds of spam messages a day, and you don't want yours to be discarded unread.

Print specifications
Digital inkjet prints come on gloss paper; size approx. 253 x 190 mm (10 × 7.5") with 10mm (0.4") border all round for mounting in your own mat; cost £35 including VAT and P&P in the United Kingdom.
The prints look very similar to the images on the web site, but you have to remember that the screen is much brighter than paper, of course, and colour matching can never be identical. However, they are very detailed and crisp in appearance, and of course do not have a watermark on them.
If you are unhappy with your print(s), please return them to me in resaleable condition (no thumbprints for example!) in the original packaging for a refund of the purchase cost. You need to let me know within 7 working days of receipt if you intend to return an item, and will be responsible for the return postage costs. I will make the refund within 30 days.
My prints are all individually made to order rather than batch-produced on spec, so a limited amount of cropping, resizing or other special finishing can be done at that price (for example, black and white conversion or sepia, b/w printing on matte paper) - proofs provided by email. I don't offer limited editions at an inflated price, since it's a meaningless concept for the technology used.
I can also produce mounted and/or aluminium-framed prints (standard 50x40 cms), prints on stretched canvas, etc. Email me to discuss your requirements and to get a quote.
I provide a service to print and frame your own digital photos. If you don't have the confidence to produce a finished print of your own work, I can help. This has been popular for owners of holiday cottages in Lyme Regis and surroundings, who like to decorate their property with images that have a special meaning for them. For example, I can advise on the best way to display your family photos in a group frame, which images may work well as canvas prints, which are suitable for big enlargements, and so on.
Note: Digital prints use a relatively new technology. The high-quality Canon ink and paper I use have an estimated minimum life of 25-30 years before any noticeable fading occurs. This has not had time to be tested yet except by laboratory simulations (and is probably better than machine prints from the chemist or budget photolab, for example). In any case, they should be hung out of direct sunlight and behind glass for protection.

If you haven't already emailed me to discuss your requirements, you need to specify clearly the photograph name (as on the web site), any requirements for signing etc. and your name and postal address. Note that you'll need to be there when the post arrives, as the mounted prints especially are too large to go through a standard letterbox without damage. I can also arrange Special Delivery on a specified date at extra cost.

Your payment is for the print only: it does not confer any rights to reproduce the image in any way. Copyright of my images remains with me. Digital or print reproduction rights are available by separate arrangement.

I do not use any information you supply me for any purpose other than to fulfil your order.
